DermaPlaning

the Key to smooth skin

Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive procedure that is painless, quick, and effective at removing dead skin cells and peach fuzz to leave your skin looking brighter and softer. It has also been proven to help boost collagen production! By using a scalpel across the epidermis, feather-like strokes are performed to remove surface debris and shave away the top layers of your skin. Dermaplaining can remove up to two weeks of dead skin with results that last up to three weeks. Dermaplaining is not the same as shaving your face, although very similar, it delivers exfoliation along with hair removal with the use of a surgical scalpel.

This is a great option for patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or sensitive and are not able to use other forms of deep exfoliation, as it does not require the use of any chemicals. This is also a great choice for patients with excess vellus hair (peach fuzz) that can lead to blocked follicles and a build-up of dirt, oils, and debris. Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers, leaving the skin to grow back smoother. Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolouration, and scars — usually performed on the face (can also be done on hands, chest, back, etc.).

Our medical-grade chemical peels exfoliate and stimulate the skin to correct common conditions like fine lines, enlarged pores, congested skin, acne, blemishes, and irregular pigmentation. During the appointment, the skin is cleansed and prepped to receive an even application of clinical peel solution. Once neutralized, the skin is cooled and protected with an SPF. Patients return immediately to regular activities. With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results.

In the 5 to 7 days before treatment, patients must discontinue all forms of topical vitamin A (retinol) and other abrasive treatment agents. Contact our office to confirm safe skincare pre- and post-treatment.

Microneedling is a skin therapy that uses a single-use tip with very fine sterile needles moved across the skin to create micro-perforations at different depths in the skin – depending on the area being treated – in a controlled and precise manner.
